Top 5 Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps Performance in Bahrain, Q1 2023

The first quarter of 2023 has shown varied performance for the top carpooling and ridesharing apps in Bahrain. Here's a closer look at how these apps fared in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

Uber - Request a ride experienced fluctuating weekly downloads throughout the quarter. Starting the year with approximately 1K downloads, the numbers decreased to around 727 in the first week of January. The downloads saw another peak reaching about 1K in mid-January, before stabilizing around 700-900 for the remainder of the quarter. A notable dip to 608 downloads was observed in the third week of March.

Careem – rides, food & more also saw a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads. Beginning with 467 downloads in the last week of December, the app saw a peak of 523 downloads in mid-January. However, by the end of March, the downloads had dropped to 222.

Bolt: Request a Ride had a more stable download performance, starting at 262 downloads in late December and ending at 154 downloads by the end of March. The highest number of downloads was 264 in mid-January, with numbers generally hovering around the 200 mark for the majority of the quarter.

inDrive. Save on city rides showed consistent download activity. Starting with 231 downloads at the end of December, the app maintained numbers around 200-250 throughout the quarter, peaking at 252 downloads in mid-March. By the end of March, downloads had slightly decreased to 152.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver had a steady start with 177 downloads in the last week of December. This number slightly fluctuated, peaking at 211 downloads in early March before ending the quarter with 114 downloads in the last week of March.
